So I finally have a blog...

2008 is almost over and I have finally caught up with the new millinium. Yes, I have a blog. My resistance must have been weakened by diapers, pool chlorine, and marching music. Add to the mix a little camo and some late work, and that pretty well sums up my life! I have the best kids ever, who keep me busier than I ever thought possible. Add to that my wonderful husband and 3, yes 3, wiener dogs and you've got a good picture of my life.

We're celebrating today because Mike has passed his PT test for the Air Guard! That should really speed up his orders, and it makes him eligible for promotion. All good things. So, Clay, Katie, and I are going to go to the store for the weekly shopping, but we're gonna get a roast and all the trimmings to make for dinner tonight. We may even make a yellow cake with chocolate frosting! We're really proud of Mike. He has worked very hard to pass the run, and did it today with sore, scabbed knees from when he fell last week while running.

The last football game of the season is on Friday night. We're band groupies so we'll be there. Clay and another percussionist play some improv stuff in front of the stands each game. Clay plays quints (5 drums all hooked together) and his friend plays snare and they just play something. It's really neat! If I can find the money in our budget to get one of those little camcorder things that plug into the computer this week, I'll upload a video of them. Clay made the Jazz band and they play at basketball games. So I guess we'll be at those games too. Swimming is just getting started and runs into the spring. I can't believe the muscles my baby has! They lift weights several mornings a week. He is really gotten BIG! He's old enough for driver's ed, but doesn't have time for the classes. So, we'll be teaching him at home. He is excited to drive! We'll take him for his permit over the Christmas holidays. We'll let you know how it goes.

Katie's growing every day! She'll be 6 months old on Wednesday. We're planning on starting solids over the Thanksgiving holidays. That way, I'll be home with her for 5 days so we can get some good practice in. Plus, I'll be around in case she has a reaction to it.

I guess that's a good update on everybody around here. We stay really busy, but things aren't too exciting. If I can figure out how to post pictures, I will. Surely it can't be too hard, right?!?
